La Porte fences take the weather first. Sitting on the bay means salt in the air and real wind on an exposed lot, and both of those shorten the life of a fence that was built for an inland backyard.

We answer that with tighter post spacing, deeper footings on exposed runs, hot-dip galvanized hardware, and powder-coated ornamental iron instead of painted steel. It costs a little more up front and it is the reason the fence is still standing straight after a rough season.

Along the bayfront we install a lot of ornamental iron for the same reason people move here: it holds the perimeter without blocking the water view.
